Transcription and presentation by Arthur Macé and Yannaël Pasquier. August 2024.
The Conseil Supérieur de l’enseignement of the Conservatoire national de musique et de déclamation is an authority whose purposes are defined by the decree of 5 May 1896. It brings together, around the director of the Conservatoire, an assembly of composers, playwrights and theatre critics, and state representatives, to discuss any issues relating to the teaching given within the school. This document is a transcription of the Council’s minutes, limited to meetings held under the direction of Théodore Dubois, that is from October 1896 to June 1905. This transcription is completed in an appendix by a list of the members of the Council during the period in question, a thematic index and an index of the names cited.
